24/7 emergency response

Storm and hail damage restoration

After wind, hail, or falling debris, we secure the property, document visible damage, and explain the next step without pressure.

What should you do after a storm?

Stay off the roof, photograph damage safely from the ground, prevent interior water damage if possible, and request a professional roof inspection.

Missing shingles, lifted metal, damaged vents, punctures, and displaced flashing can let water in immediately. Hail damage may be less obvious but can shorten the life of shingles.

Storm damage questions

How do I know if wind damaged my roof?

Look for shingles on the ground, lifted or creased tabs, exposed underlayment, loose ridge caps, bent flashing, or new leaks. Damage may exist even when nothing is visible from the yard.

How can I identify hail and wind damage after an Arkansas storm?

Check from the ground for missing or creased shingles, loose ridge caps, damaged flashing, dented gutters or vents, and new interior leaks. Hail bruising on shingles can be difficult to confirm without a close inspection. Avoid climbing onto a wet or damaged roof. Photograph visible conditions and read our ground-level damage guide, then ask for an inspection if the storm crossed your property.

Can you meet the insurance adjuster?

When scheduling allows, we can provide the documented roofing scope and discuss observed damage. We do not determine coverage or act as a public adjuster.

Is emergency tarping a permanent repair?

No. Tarping is temporary protection intended to reduce additional water intrusion until permanent repairs can be completed.

Storm damage work by roof component

Immediate protection

  • Emergency tarping and temporary dry-in for exposed areas, followed by a permanent repair plan.

Damaged roofing

  • Assessment and repair or replacement of wind-damaged shingles, metal panels, ridge caps.
  • Roof vents.

Water entry points

  • Inspection of flashing, pipe boots, penetrations.
  • Affected gutters, soffit, fascia, or siding.

Specific materials and scope are confirmed after inspecting the roof and included in the written proposal.

Storm inspections, claims and repair decisions

Should I call a roofer or my insurance company first after storm damage?

Either order can work. A roofing inspection can identify and document visible damage before you decide whether to file a claim. If water is entering or roofing is exposed, prioritize safe temporary protection. Your insurance company determines coverage under your policy. Contact your insurer promptly when required by your policy, keep photos and receipts, and do not delay reporting while waiting for an inspection.

What is the 25% rule for roofing?

The term “25% rule” can refer to a roof repair threshold in a particular building code, an insurer’s own requirements, or a rule of thumb about repair cost. It is not a universal promise of full replacement or coverage. Florida has specific roof-code provisions involving 25%; those should not be presented as Arkansas law. For an Arkansas property, ask the local building official which adopted code applies and ask the carrier for the exact policy or requirement it is using. Repairability also depends on the remaining material, whether a sound repair is possible, and installation requirements—not just a percentage. See the Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate’s explanation for that state’s provisions.
